Mascote Ramosport
 History

The small family company which was to become Ramosport had its roots in Russia, at the beginning of the last century, when it supplied waterproof fabric for the production of the imperial armyâ??s rainwear. As history took its course, the family found itself in France and opened an outerwear store; the 1950s allowed it to develop a specialized knowledge in the world of luxury rainwear, encompassing practicality and design.

The brand developed its image under the design direction of Anne-Marie Beretta until the 1990s. Subsequently Ramosport called upon the talents of guest designers such as Hussein Chalayan, Marcel Marongiu, Jean Colonna and E2 to reinterpret the trench-coat, its bestseller.

In 2006 the company changed hands and began reinforcing its international expansion. The brand would take a new turn: the arrival of Julien Fournié, a talented young designer, as artistic director; and numerous projects such as the new menâ??s collection, accessories and a line of timeless â??Vintageâ? pieces.

The French Ready to Wear Federation presented its â??Les Elans de la Modeâ? award to Ramosport in 2006.
